The Other Side of Literacy This presentation is based on the theory of Emotional Intelligence. It is intended to remind participants that student’s feelings are fragile and deserve our attention. I have stories from adults who grew up with a learning disability and what it was like for them emotionally and what strategies they employed to survive the shame they felt.
